Subjects
From the 13th to the 16th centuries the subjects are largely religious ones, with the occasional profane scene, since the main commissioners of works are the Church and rich merchants. Thereafter mythological subjects appear, portraits, still-lifes, battles, landscapes and the "vedute", as well as historical pictures.
